I thought the bottom part of the grinder (the base cup) that you remove to use the pepper grinder was magnetic. Silly now that I think about it, however the rubber gasket has long worn out and the bottom falls off now just by simply picking it up... crashing on the glass table, rolling on the floor and crushing sensitive toes. We would be thrilled if we could acquire and purchase a gasket (or ten). I also didn't know that somewhere in the original packaging their were extras included. I must have been to excited over the pepper grinder to notice the o rings. Reminder to keep the packaging a little bit longer..... Thanks the o-rings fixed the problem, good as new!
